The video “Configure Shopify Integration With Outranker AI Platform” provides a complete, step-by-step walkthrough for connecting a Shopify store to the Outranker AI SEO Optimization Platform. It is intended for store owners, marketers, SEO teams, and administrators who want Outranker to securely interact with their Shopify store for publishing, content workflows, and store-connected optimization tasks. The tutorial explains the full setup process from both sides of the integration: starting in the Outranker dashboard, then moving into the Shopify admin to create and configure a custom Shopify app, assign the correct URLs and access scopes, release the app version, and finally return to Outranker to complete the connection using the store URL, client ID, and client secret. Sections and Flow Introduction and Purpose Overview of why connecting Shopify to Outranker is useful. Explains that the integration enables secure communication between Outranker and the Shopify store. Highlights use cases such as publishing support, content workflows, and store-based optimization. Starting the Integration in Outranker User opens the Integrations area inside Outranker. Locates the Shopify integration and clicks Connect. Outranker provides a Complete Guide containing the exact values needed later in Shopify. Accessing Shopify Store Settings User switches to the Shopify admin for the target store. Opens Settings, then navigates to Apps. From there, opens Develop apps to create a custom app for the integration. Creating a Custom Shopify App User clicks Build apps in Dev Dashboard. Starts a new app by selecting Create app. Names the app OutRanker.AI and confirms creation. This app serves as the secure bridge between the Shopify store and Outranker. Configuring App URLs User returns to the Outranker guide to copy the required values. Copies the App URL and pastes it into the matching Shopify field. Copies the Preferences URL and pastes it into the correct Shopify field. Accuracy is important because the settings must match between both platforms. Setting Permissions / Access Scopes In the Shopify app configuration, the user opens the permissions or access scopes section. Enables read_content so Outranker can read content from the store. Enables write_content so Outranker can make supported content updates. These permissions define what the integration is allowed to do. Adding Redirect / Callback URL User copies the redirect or callback URL from the Outranker guide. Pastes it into Shopify’s Allowed redirection URL field. This step is required for secure authentication and connection completion. Saving and Releasing the App Version After permissions are configured, the user saves the changes. Opens the app version section. Creates or selects a version, enters a version name if required, and releases/publishes it. Releasing the version makes the custom Shopify app active. Retrieving API Credentials From Shopify Once the app is live, the user opens the app’s settings or API credentials area. Shopify provides the Client ID and Client Secret needed to finalize the connection. These credentials are necessary for secure store authentication with Outranker. Completing the Connection in Outranker User enters the Shopify store URL in Outranker. Copies the Client ID from Shopify and pastes it into Outranker. Copies the Client Secret and pastes it into the matching Outranker field. Clicks Connect to Shopify to finalize the integration. Confirmation and Outcome User checks for a confirmation message or active integration status. The tutorial concludes by confirming that the store is now connected. At this point, the Shopify store is ready to work with Outranker for content and SEO-related workflows. Core Value of the Tutorial This guide is especially useful because it combines platform navigation, custom app setup, permission management, and credential-based authentication into one complete integration workflow. It reduces confusion for users who may not be familiar with Shopify custom app development while ensuring the Outranker connection is configured securely and correctly.

It is designed for marketers, automation builders, SEO teams, and business users who want to send data from Outranker into Zapier so they can trigger automated workflows. The tutorial explains how to start the integration from inside Outranker, create a new Zap in Zapier, configure a Catch Hook trigger using Webhooks by Zapier, copy the generated webhook URL back into Outranker, test the connection, and verify that Zapier receives the sample payload correctly. By the end, the user has a working connection between Outranker and Zapier and is ready to build additional automated actions inside the Zap. Sections and Flow Introduction and Goal Introduces the purpose of the tutorial: connecting Zapier with Outranker. Frames the tutorial as a confidence-building, step-by-step integration guide. Opening Integrations in Outranker User begins inside the Outranker dashboard. Navigates to the Integrations section from the left-hand menu. Finds Zapier in the list of available integrations and clicks Connect. Using the Complete Guide Outranker provides a Complete Guide for the Zapier integration. The user is told to keep this guide open during setup. This guide helps align the Outranker settings with the Zapier webhook configuration. Starting a New Zap in Zapier User goes to zapier.com. Clicks Create and opens the Zaps area to build a new automation workflow. This is the point where the workflow that will receive Outranker data is created. Choosing the Trigger App and Event In the new Zap, the user clicks the Trigger step. Searches for Webhooks by Zapier and selects it as the trigger app. Chooses the event Catch Hook, which tells Zapier to listen for incoming webhook data from Outranker. Generating the Webhook URL User continues through the trigger setup in Zapier. Zapier generates a unique webhook URL. Pastes the copied Zapier webhook URL into the Webhook URL field. Adds a description, such as Zapier, to make the integration easier to identify later. Testing the Connection in Outranker User clicks Test Connection in Outranker. This verifies that Outranker can successfully send data to the Zapier webhook endpoint. Selecting the Sample Record The tutorial specifically instructs the user to select request B from the available test records. This sample record becomes the reference payload for the next steps of Zap creation. User clicks Continue with selected record to confirm the trigger is functioning correctly. Successful Integration Outcome At this stage, the Zapier-Outranker integration is active. Outranker is now connected to the Zap through the webhook URL. Zapier has confirmed it can receive and use incoming data from Outranker. The user is ready to continue building the Zap by adding one or more actions to automate downstream tasks. Core Value of the Tutorial This guide is valuable because it simplifies a technical webhook setup into a structured workflow that non-technical users can follow. It shows exactly how to bridge Outranker and Zapier using a webhook trigger, verify the payload delivery, and prepare the integration for real automation scenarios. It is especially relevant for users who want to connect Outranker outputs to other tools such as CRMs, spreadsheets, notifications, project management platforms, or custom workflows.
